The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) on July 03, 2025, issued the notification regarding the Exemption of White Category Industries from Requirement of Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) had earlier exempted certain cottage and small-scale industries with no pollution potential from obtaining Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate.
• GPCB has now adopted the revised framework, and as per this classification, White Category industries having Pollution Index (PI) less than 25 and no pollution potential are henceforth exempted from obtaining Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate from GPCB.
• These industries shall, however, intimate the Board about their operations and self-declared compliance with environmental laws.
